    Antique Japanese Furniture Chest Interior Cabinet 1900s Isho Tansu with key
    A high quality furniture, a clothing chest for merchant, with a characteristic design of Shonai area at Meiji-Taisho era (early 20th century). The decorative iron fittings are based on a family crest "Kamon" and the shape of two hawk feathers crossed "Chigai-takanoha".
    The total paulownia chest became the highest peak in the paulownia chest, and at this time it was used as a wedding tool for women who were wealthy people.
    At that time, some parents wanted to look good and hold something expensive because they didn't want to be ashamed of their important daughter's marriage. Even so, it seems that the total paulownia chest was too expensive to have.
