I am auctioning off my Bon Jovi limited edition T-shirt, commemorating the band's hugely successful "Slippery When Wet Tour," 1986-1987, in support of Bon Jovi's multi-platinum "Slippery When Wet" album. It was their first major worldwide tour -- this T-shirt honors the three sold-out shows in Irvine Meadows, June 20-21-22, 1987, 45,000 tickets sold.

with Trunk Ltd., the high-end retro rock T-shirt maker. The T is authorized by the band -- it carries a label, "© Bon Jovi Tours Inc. 2006." The T-shirt uses Bon Jovi's original serigraph. It will become your new favorite go-to T-shirt. Trunk made only 500 copies of this T-shirt, all in 2006.
The front of the heather-colored T-shirt features a black, red, and blue graphic. It's a profile shot of shirtless Jon Bon Jovi wearing a headband, looking to the sky, and holding an electric guitar. He's set against an enlarged map in red and blue of the greater Los Angeles Area, Irvine at the bottom of the map.
The back of the T-shirt is just as awesome: a huge "45,000" in black block letters at the top, followed by three lines of concert dates: "June 20, 1987 Irvine Meadows," "June 21, 1987 Irvine Meadows," and "June 22, 1987 Irvine Meadows. The dates are in black letters, "Irvine Meadows" in all caps red letters with a black outline. Below the concert dates is "SLIPPERY WET PARTY ANIMALS '' in four lines, the top two lines in block black letters, the bottom two lines red letters outlined in black, all capitalized. Below that, it reads, in an italic font, "ROCK IRVINE MEADOWS." And in a stenciled font, across the "SLIPPERY WET PARTY ANIMALS," it reads in red letters, "SOLD OUT." Pretty great.

The shirt is size S (small), and measures just over 18 inches between the armhole seams and 25 inches tall, from the collar to the double-seamed hem. The sides of the T-shirt are double seamed. I can find no rips, tears, stretched seams, or stains. To my best recollection, no one has ever worn it. Y
