Description
Promotional items from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. All of these were promotional items distributed with the release of the associated records unless otherwise noted."Wax Paper" was a Warner Bros. Records Promotional magazine that was published in the late 1970's.
This in-house publication is "Wax Paper/N.Y.C." Vol. 2 No. 9, August 26, 1977. This issue is a focus on the NYC music scene. There's tons of history and perspective here from before the these bands made their marks in music history.
It features front and back cover photos of Martha Davis of the Motels.
The feature articles are about Sire Records, New Wave, and label artists debut albums previews of Talking Heads, Dead Boys and Richard Hell & The Voidoids. Foghat's live album is also previewed.
Includes an interview with all four members of Talking Heads prior to the release of their debut album.
The 10.5"x 10.5" cover format is printed on semi-gloss board stock. The paper stock 30-pages include a 4-page, textured insert "The Wax Paper Chronicles" with an essay on the history and a discography of Bubblegum music written by Ken Barnes.
This issue shows no wear.
This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Warner Bros. Records in 1977. It has been in storage for 47 years.
